The Role Centrecare is offering two exciting new opportunities for qualified and experienced Children’s Counsellors to join our Family & Relationship Services program, based in Perth and Bunbury. These are Level 5 positions, available as maximum-term contracts until 30 June 2026. We are seeking counsellors who are passionate in supporting the wellbeing of children and young people. Ideal candidate will have a strong background in child counselling, family and domestic violence, and trauma-informed practice. You will work within Centrecare’s Therapeutic Framework, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based services that promote safety, wellbeing and development for children and their families. Key Responsibilities Provide trauma-informed counselling to children, young people, and families, including assessment, case planning, and therapeutic interventions. Provide early intervention and family support that promotes child development, healthy attachment, protective behaviours, and life skills. Conduct risk assessments and safety planning for clients affected by family and domestic violence and provide outreach services as required. Selection Criteria Minimum Bachelor\'s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Counselling, Childhood Development, or related field. At least 3 years’ experience providing child counselling and working with families experiencing complex needs, including family and domestic violence. Demonstrated experience in case management, intake, assessment, and referral.
