Emergency Physician

Contribute to the delivery of responsive, coordinated care in a busy emergency department. Based at Toowoomba Hospital, you’ll support patients across a wide range of presentations, contribute to clinical governance, and help guide junior staff. This role suits someone who values teamwork, clear communication, and making a steady impact in a fast-moving environment. What Your Day Will Look Like…. You’ll assess and treat patients, liaise with other departments and services, and contribute to the smooth operation of the ED, Short Stay Unit and Clinical Decision Unit. You’ll participate in audits, support education, and help shape care processes. Whether managing a trauma case or mentoring a junior colleague, your work will reflect the values of compassion, integrity and courage that guide Darling Downs Health. You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $554,973 (L27) comprising salary rates comprising between $103.79 (L18) and $131.60 p.h. ( L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, emergency department specialty allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
