In this role,you’lldrive operational excellence, support staff, and keep the lab runningsmoothly. KeyResponsibilitiesinclude: Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, andtimelyturnaround of work. Provide strong leadership, guidance, and performance management to a team of laboratory technicians, Scientists,and support staff. Plan, prioritise, andallocateworkloads tomaintainproductivity in a high-volume environment. Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and laboratory protocols. Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting when necessary. Maintain inventory, manage ordering of supplies, and control operational budgets whererequired. Supportonboardingand training of new team members while fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture. Partner with senior management and stakeholders to improve processes and achieve goals. Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications & Experience Degree or diploma in Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Supervisory or leadership experience in healthcare or laboratory setting. Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Thrives in a fast-paced environment and manages competing priorities effectively. Working knowledge of laboratory safety standards and quality management systems. Proven ability to lead teams, manage workflows, and drive continuous improvement Knowledge of NATA quality systems, Laboratory Information Systems,and/orPowerPathisadvantageous. Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend support ifrequired. Flexibility on shift times would berequiredbased on business demand.
