The Opportunity
The Receptionist is responsible for contributing towards making the G8 Support Office a great place to work, and an Employer of Choice. This includes but is not limited to, overseeing the day-to-day function of reception, co-ordination the front desk as well as welcoming new team members to G8.
Your day-to-day
No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate general maintenance and safety of the office
- Greet and assist visitors, ensuring they feel welcome and directed to the right department
- Conduct office inductions with all new starters
- Handle mail distribution and assist with light administrative tasks, such as data entry and filing
- Update the Support Office Database with new starters as required
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls while handling general inquiries
- Ensure visitors and contractors are signed in via the system.
- Receipting of various invoices as required
- Any other duties as required by the Office Manager
About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Prior experience in a receptionist or administrative support role, 12 months is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work calmly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid working with children check
