Our client is looking for a high-performing Team Leader/Second-in-Charge (2IC) to join our VIC/TAS Sales Team – someone who’s ready to drive their own sales success, coach others, and help shape the next phase of their growth. This role isn’t just about hitting numbers – it’s about leading from the front, developing the team around you, and being a trusted right hand to the Sales Manager. If you're organised, influential, analytical, and ready to step into more leadership – we want to hear from you. About the Role - What You’ll Be Doing: Grow your own territory: Deliver sales, margin and revenue results with a winning call cycle Coach and mentor: Support field sales reps with training, coaching and joint customer visits Be the Field Champion: Align state Bunnings activity to marketing plans; champion tools like Phocas and D&R Own the numbers: Analyse state sales data to drive smart business development outcomes Build relationships: Develop strong ties with Bunnings decision makers and independent accounts Step up when needed: Be ready to support or step into key parts of the Sales Manager role when required Qualifications - Experience in Bunnings/ Mitre 10/ independents (internally or as a supplier) Required Skills - A track record of sales success in a senior business development or field sales role Preferred Skills - Organised and great at coordinating field activity and training, An exceptional communicator, influencer, and relationship builder, Analytical mindset – you love using sales data to spot trends and opportunities, A natural leader with energy, integrity, work ethic and long-term commitment Pay range and compensation package - Competitive salary + bonus + career progression Equal Opportunity Statement - Work closely with major national accounts like Bunnings and Mitre 10, Opportunity to grow into a full Sales Manager role, Play a key leadership role while still being active in the field, Great team culture focused on performance, development and integrity, You’ve put in the groundwork.
