Business Overview Our industry partner, Polar Bear of Leura, is a popular restaurant located in the heart of Leura, New South Wales. Known for its diverse menu, fresh ingredients, and cozy dining atmosphere, the restaurant is committed to delivering warm hospitality and memorable dining experiences. The menu features a wide selection of dishes—from grilled meats to vegetarian options—catering to a broad customer base. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to established recipes and standards. Perform hands‑on food preparation across different stations, including grilling, sautéing, frying, and basic baking. Ensure food quality, taste, and portion consistency during service. Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures (HACCP). Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients to maintain freshness. Monitor stock of basic ingredients and inform seniors of low stock levels to support smooth kitchen operations. Maintain a clean and organised workstation and ensure equipment is used safely. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak periods. Skills & Experience Required Minimum 2–3 years’ hands‑on experience in a commercial kitchen. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification). Strong practical cooking skills with the ability to follow recipes and preparation methods accurately. Good organisational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude in a busy kitchen setting. #J-18808-Ljbffr
