About the Project Lucas TCS is currently involved in a national fibre network project installing an additional 20,000 route kilometres over the next four years, enhancing its size, reach, and bandwidth. We are proud to support this ambitious initiative, performing civil works to enable fibre optic cable installation in remote areas across South Australia and Western Australia. The project roster is 15:13, working day shifts only. Travelling home on the 15th day. About You We’re seeking trade‑qualified HD Fitters with a passion for remote work and the adaptability to thrive in an off‑grid setting. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the equipment used in this groundbreaking project. Key Requirements Extensive experience with heavy equipment maintenance, particularly CAT & Hitachi machinery. Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills. HR licence preferred. Additional tickets such as Dogman, Forklift, EWP, or Working at Heights are advantageous. A “can‑do” attitude and the ability to work effectively in a remote, team‑oriented environment. What’s Provided? Accommodation Brand‑new, self‑contained caravans with air conditioning, double bed, bathroom, kitchen, and washing machine. You will be responsible for maintaining your caravan in good condition. Meals Self‑catering arrangement with a daily meal allowance. Weekly grocery orders managed online and delivered via Lucas TCS freight trucks. Communication Satellite internet access provided on‑site. Travel As work fronts move throughout the project, travel will involve both air and road transport.
