OverviewSIG is looking for a Production Engineer. In this role, you will get the opportunity to work closely with traders and the firm’s top technologists in Sydney and the US. You will design and develop new tools to help manage and monitor our market data infrastructure solutions as well as implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code.The successful candidate will have the track record of supporting projects to deliver new services and solutions for the market data team as a whole. As a Production Engineer, you will partner closely with the Market Data Software Developer teams in Sydney and US in support of our in-house applications as well ascollaborate with other Enterprise technology/business teams to provide a strong and transparent service across the board. You will coordinate technical resources and communicate to both business and technology communities during production issues. You will maintain and monitor market data infrastructure platforms. What we're looking forExperience in an application support, operations, systems administration, or related roleAn understanding of Linux operating systemsStrong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and communicate during system outagesPython, Bash or other scripting experience preferredBS in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc) is preferred1-3 years of experience in a systems administration, engineeringor similar role requiredKnowledge of UDP & TCP protocols and Layer 1 networking preferredAbout SIG:
