Home of the Australian PGA Seniors Championships As Contract Clubhouse Manager, you will oversee all clubhouse operations, ensuring the facility runs smoothly, efficiently and in a manner that reflects our club’s values and brand. You will lead a committed team, manage events, and take ownership of service delivery, budget controls and facility maintenance. Answering to the Group CEO and COO. Key Responsibilities Manage day‑to‑day clubhouse operations: food & beverage service, bar/lounge, member functions, casual dining and special events. Lead, mentor and coordinate staff (including bar, kitchen, service & cleaning teams) to deliver service excellence. Ensure the clubhouse environment is maintained to high standards: cleanliness, presentation, maintenance, health & safety compliance and licensing. Collaborate with the club’s committee, Pro Shop, greens staff and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of clubhouse and golf operations. Act as a key holder and oversee opening/closing procedures, security and access to the facility. Develop and implement service standards, operational procedures and training programs for staff. Support membership engagement and satisfaction: act as a point‑of‑contact for members, handle feedback/queries, and contribute to the club’s social calendar and events. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, suggest improvements and lead change where required. Requirements and Qualifications Significant experience in hospitality management or clubhouse operations, preferably in a golf club, sports club or private club environment. Proven leadership skills – able to manage and motivate a team, set service standards and drive results. Strong financial acumen: experience managing budgets, cost controls (stock, labour, wastage) and reporting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to engage with members, guests, staff and committees. High standards of presentation, organisational ability and attention to detail in managing facilities and service delivery. Sound knowledge of health & safety, licensing (e.g., liquor), and compliance requirements relevant to clubhouse operations. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and during club events, and the ability to respond to operational demands in a dynamic environment. Qualification in hospitality management, business or related field. Experience specifically within a golf club or private club environment. Understanding of golf club culture, membership expectations and event‑driven service models. What We Offer A 12‑month contract (with the potential for extension based on performance and club needs).
