Overview Position : Aboriginal Mental Health Clinician – Category A Incentive : NSW Health Rural Incentive scheme up to $5,000 Location & Employment Location : Goulburn, Southern NSW Local Health District Employment Type : Permanent Full TimeHours Per Week : 38 Remuneration Counsellor Level 1/2 $70,944 – $101,211 per annumOccupational Therapist Level 1/2 $70,944 – $101,211 per annumPsychologist $74,742 – $109,397 per annumRegistered Nurse $70,049 – $98,351 per annumSocial Worker Level 1/2 $70,944 – $101,211 per annum Application Details Requisition ID : REQ Application Close : 18 January 2026Interview Details : Scheduled within 10 days of closing Responsibilities Provide recovery focused, culturally competent services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, advocacy, and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal consumers with mental illness, distress, or risk. Selection Criteria Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent with demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal cultures and links to the local Aboriginal community. Tertiary qualification in Health Science (Mental Health) or registration with AHPRA for relevant health professionals (Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist) or eligibility for Australian Association of Social Workers membership. High‑level communication skills and ability to engage consumers, families, carers, and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to deliver person‑centred, holistic care promoting self‑determination and strengths‑based practices. Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record Systems and Microsoft Office (including Skype for Business). Current unrestricted driver’s licence and willingness to travel long distances and overnight stays.
