Pay Rate: SCHCADS Award Level 5: $51 to $53.31 per hour Employment Type: Full-time, max-term contract until 30 June 2027 Benefits: Generous NFP packaging – increase your take-home pay by up to $16k Meaningful impact: deliver compassionate, person-led support that empowers individuals on their recovery journey Your Role Join an exciting new partnership between Vinnies and the Salvation Army to deliver essential Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and Domestic/Family Violence (DFV) services in the Wagga Wagga community . As an AOD & DFV Care Navigator , you will provide person-led, strength-based support to individuals accessing our recovery services. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team , helping to reduce stigma, improve access to care, and empower clients on their recovery journey. Your Responsibility Provide case management and care coordination , ensuring tailored support for individuals in recovery. Advocate for clients by reducing stigma and ensuring access to essential services, including government departments, courts, and community providers. Conduct intake screenings, comprehensive assessments, and care planning , connecting clients to evidence-based treatments and psychoeducation programs. Develop and maintain referral pathways , linking clients to health and social services while supporting families and the wider community. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team , ensuring culturally safe and client-centered care, particularly for First Nations clients You Will Need TAFE Certificate IV in welfare or a related field Experience supporting vulnerable and marginalised populations , including those affected by DFV and AOD challenges Strong communication, crisis response, and advocacy skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team NSW driver’s licence Apply Now If this sounds like the right fit for you, apply today by submitting your resume and a brief cover letter addressing the selection criteria.
