Policy Officer – Governance and Complaints Queensland Department of Education Are you proactive, organized, and passionate about governance? Join our Governance, Strategy and Planning team to provide secretariat support to the department’s key strategic governance committees. About the Role The Policy Officer will support the development and operation of governance processes, strengthening the department’s governance capability and practice. The role includes delivering governance products, advice and secretariat support that enable good governance and robust decision‑making across key strategic committees. Responsibilities Manage governance committee arrangements on behalf of the Secretariat for key departmental governance committees, including coordinating meeting logistics, communications, and stakeholder engagement. Support the development of governance resources, tools and processes to build governance capability. Provide a high level of support, advice and client service to stakeholders and senior executives. About You Excellent attention to detail, organisation and coordination skills. Excellent communicator who enjoys working with a range of stakeholders and as part of a team. Strong problem‑solving, prioritisation and time‑management skills. Ability to work across a number of areas in a fast‑paced environment and prioritise accordingly.
