Underwriting Manager – Crop Elders Portfolio Join QBE Insurance as an Underwriting Manager in the Crop Elders portfolio. This role involves leading a national focus, managing portfolio growth, driving new business development, and delivering exceptional solutions for clients nationwide. Location & Employment Locations: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide Employment type: Permanent, full‑time Hybrid work model – flexible working arrangements available Key Responsibilities Spearhead initiatives in new business development and manage the growth strategy for QBE Crop underwriting Elders portfolio. Collaborate with external third parties, portfolio managers and reinsurers. Provide technical expertise to resolve complex referrals, ensuring the highest underwriting standards. Maintain client relationships, deliver tailored solutions and uphold QBE’s commitment to excellence. Mentor and support internal teams through training and product knowledge sharing. Work closely with other commercial lines to provide integrated customer solutions. Qualifications & Experience Strong underwriting experience focused on crop and rural insurance. Deep product knowledge and ability to navigate complex underwriting scenarios. Strategic vision with a forward‑thinking mindset to drive growth. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to educate teams and deliver client solutions. Leadership potential – ideal for a senior underwriter ready to step into a strategic role; prior people‑management experience is not essential.
