Secondary Teacher (Junior Science & HPE) Location: St Johns - Nambour (S) Work hours: 6 hours per week | Job Share Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 + super (prorata) (commensurate with experience) Status: Part-time | Fixed Term Contact: or About the opportunity St John's College is seeking a qualified and passionate teacher to join our team on a job share basis, working 1 day per week in Junior Science and Health & Physical Education (HPE) for a 12‑month contract in 2026. This position is a 1 day per week job share arrangement, ideal for teachers seeking a flexible work balance. Responsibilities Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner‑centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices A willingness to support the Catholic ethos of the College, safeguarding processes and contribute to the broader school community The ability, and relevant qualifications, to teach Religious Education or a second subject area is highly desirable and strong support for the Catholic ethos of the school is essential Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development Ability to create engaging, inclusive and differentiated learning experiences Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
