If you answered Yes to the above, we want to hear from you We are looking for people-focused individuals to join our close-knit team as Personal Care Assistants at our boutique retirement village situated 500m from beautiful Mona Vale Beach, on a casual or part time basis of up to 15 hours per week across 2-3 shifts. We currently have confirmed shifts available in the mornings on Friday and Sunday (7am-1 : 30pm), as well as additional day shifts and evening shifts available on request (5 : 00-8 : 30pm), with the opportunity to undertake additional shifts to cover any leave for other team members, and cover the Christmas holiday period. Our Personal Care Assistants provide care to our residents within the Village and in the Community when required, supporting their independence, and improving their quality of life. Activities may include but are not limited to In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry & ironing Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan Supporting with community based recreational and social activities Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments Communicating with Village Manager and Care Partner regarding any concerns or deterioration of a resident, including reporting of incidents About you To provide the best possible experience to our residents, we’re seeking candidates who are reliable and caring, with a courteous, pleasant and positive attitude. Successful candidates will also have : Certificate lll in Aged Care or Individual Support At least 6 months of experience working as a Personal Care WorkerExperience working with older people who have chronic health conditions, including dementia Ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team Flexible and positive attitude to evolving work environments to suit resident needs Good people skills and empathy for older people living in care and retirement village setting Flexibilitywith working hours Physical fitness, as the position can be physically demanding with assisting residents to move around their homes Ability to attend shifts in Mona Vale Evidence of right to work in Australia If you are interested, please send your application by clicking on the Apply button below.
