About the Opportunity Our client is a reputable and fast-growing Structural Design & Forensic Engineering consultancy, now seeking a motivated Forensic Engineer to join their expanding Sydney team. This role suits both mid-level and senior Engineers who have strong experience across residential and/or commercial buildings and an interest in forensic or remedial engineering. You’ll be involved in hands‑on investigations, detailed structural analysis, and the preparation of high-quality technical reports. Working as part of a specialised forensic team, you’ll contribute to diverse projects across residential, commercial, and industrial buildings—providing insights into structural behaviour, damage causation, and practical remedial solutions. Key Responsibilities Conduct site inspections to assess structural damage, defects, and performance issues. Undertake forensic investigations of structural failures, building movement, and material degradation. Perform structural analysis and contribute to the development of remedial or repair solutions. Prepare clear, comprehensive, and technically sound reports for clients, insurers, and legal stakeholders. Liaise professionally with clients, builders, insurers, and project partners. Manage workload effectively across multiple active projects and deadlines. About You Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (required). Strong local experience in structural engineering—ideally across residential and commercial projects. Experience in residential design, forensic engineering, or remedial/diagnostic investigations highly regarded. Excellent written communication skills, with experience preparing technical reports. Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for site work.
