The Cloud Engineer will assist with implementation of a Cloud Native Application Platform Protection (CNAPP) solution across cross-functional teams.The role will also need to have strong cloud skills and have capability to work with vendors and internal stakeholders across multiple business units.Help develop the enterprise environment that will secure Origin Energy’s cloud and application environment.Work with vendors, product owners and developers to implement the solution.Collaborate with the technical community in Origin to ensure processes align with project delivered operational standards/controls and recommended secure configuration improvements identified by the platform.Work as part of a team to implement a solution that will minimise risk to existing operations and work to identify and reduce future vulnerabilities and risk of security breaches across the business.Contribute to the implementation of the CNAPP tooling across our cloud platforms predominantly on AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Microsoft Azure.Communicate and work effectively with colleagues and customers, understanding key stakeholders by being responsive to their needs and impacts to their business.Collaboration with cloud platform and technology teams to ensure that CNAPP capability is successfully integrated into Origin.What will you bring?At least 5+ years of experience working in Cloud environments (AWS mandatory /Azure desirable).Expertise in building infrastructure in AWS.Understanding of AWS IAM.Prior experience working on CNAPP security tooling.Good communication skills: ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.Configuring and tuning cloud security monitoring capabilities.Understanding of findings management/vulnerability management.Experience delivering security solutions across a complex cyber landscape.Cloud native, with understanding of Agile & DevOps models and methodologies for operational environments.Origin - Where good change happensAt Origin, we’re powered by people who believe in creating change.
