Primary Teacher Early Years, Swan Christian College Primary Teacher Early Years Permanent Part-Time 0.4 FTE Swan Christian College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our Junior School teaching team. This is an ongoing part-time, 0.4 FTE position for a Year 1 classroom teacher. As a Primary Teacher, you will play an integral role in shaping the hearts and minds of students in a Christ‑centred environment. Key Responsibilities Include: Actively engage in the spiritual, academic, sporting, cultural, and social life of the College, demonstrating enthusiasm and cooperation. Tailor teaching to meet the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring responsibility for their academic and personal growth. Work collaboratively with colleagues, providing support and contributing to a positive team environment. Provide accurate and timely student information through computerized assessment programs, including formal reports. Continuously develop professionally by staying informed of changes in education and engaging in ongoing learning. Foster quality relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community, while adhering to College policies and values. Selection Criteria: Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and is an active member of a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith and Educational Objectives. A strong understanding of child development and how to cater for diverse learning styles within a classroom. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective classroom management strategies. Effective communication skills and a commitment to building relationships with students, parents, and staff. Highly organised with the ability to manage lesson planning, marking, and reporting requirements efficiently. Holds a current Working with Children Check and valid TRBWA registration or willingness to apply for one. Desirable: (Include where appropriate in your response) Experience in delivering the WA curriculum for Early Years or a similar educational framework. Proficiency in using technology applications to support teaching and learning in the classroom.
