An excellent opportunity for new experience. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic machine operator to be part of our strong and busy team in South Melbourne. This role will largely focus on production of day-to-day functions in the Fabrication of Gaskets and insulation tapes. Our company values initiative and independence and we work in teams to achieve our goals. The Role You will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process primarily operating our CNC knife cutting & Waterjet machines, while also working with various other machines like click press, Lathe, spiral wound machines and so on. Able to multi-task and accept ad-hoc duty. Able to operate machine with care To station at a Machine for most of their shift Diligent in learning, improve professional skills with strong execution. Should be a team player and stay adaptable to meet production goals. Monitoring the health and safety of all stakeholders by promoting and adhering to safe work practices. Taking accountability and prioritizing team objective. Ensure all machines and equipment are correctly used and maintained; report breakdowns, service 7 maintenance as required. Participate in trials of new techniques and systems of work to improve work practices and productivity. The Candidate You must have a proven experience as a CNC operator or similar role in Manufacturing Environment. In addition, the ideal candidate must have/be. Must be fully Computer Literate - Including Design software like AutoCAD, Sigma Nest, etc. Able to read and interpret technical Drawings and specifications. Sound understanding of CNC machine operations, programming and troubleshooting. An effective communicator - both verbal and written Possess an innovative and constructive approach to problem solving Knowledge to set-up, operate and maintain lathe machine added bonus.
