Grand Central Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations and lead our dedicated team of doctors, nurses and administrative staff. This full‑time role is central to ensuring efficient, high-quality patient care. About the role: as Practice Manager you will be responsible for coordinating all administrative and operational aspects of the practice while working closely with the practice owners. You will develop a broad knowledge of the practice functions and demonstrate the ability to switch between various medical and operational challenges, managing uncertainty with confidence and expertise. This role requires a proactive leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands‑on management to drive excellence. Key Responsibilities Recruit, train and manage admin staff including performance and reviews. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare legislation, industry standards and Fair Work requirements. Implement and maintain efficient, cost‑effective systems, policies and procedures to optimise operations and staff rostering to meet finance constraints. Work closely with doctors and clinical staff to ensure the practice meets ongoing accreditation standards at all times and commitment to PIP/Qi requirements. Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reporting on the progress of business applications and day‑to‑day processes. Oversee Medicare and DVA rules and compliance, Medicare/DVA/WorkCover reconciliations and staff training. Lead the team to meet all PIP/Qi checks and workforce requirements. Manage staff rostering and stock budget, working with the finance team to improve profitability. Maintain technical knowledge of multiple technical settings (e.g., Remote Server, SharePoint, Best Practice, Microsoft Suite & Hot Docs) and continually learn new technology, implementing and training others. Apply working knowledge of Fair Work employment rules and entitlements.
