Expression of Interest Experienced Protection Officer Remuneration/Benefit: Attractive remuneration and extensive opportunities for career progression About the role: As an experienced and qualified Protection Officer you will manage the rail safety component of a worksite and assess the appropriate type of protection for the works being performed. Your excellent communication skills will set you up for success and you will perform pre-start briefing and provide answers to queries as necessary on site. Implement appropriate type of protection when there is potential to intrude into the danger zone Assess the risk associated with the rail component of the activity and safety requirements to manage rail traffic through or into a worksite Provide worksite protection details for the Pre-Start Briefing and provide answers to queries as necessary Hand over worksite protection information to the relieving Protection Officer and ensure workers and equipment are clear of the danger zone prior to suspending/releasing any type of protection Variable roster formats with overtime available About you: Experienced Protection Officer Level 2 Track Occupancy Authority Qualification (Mandatory) Extensive experience in similar role Current manual drivers’ licence (Mandatory) Demonstrate safe work behaviours with a high level of excellence Flexibility and willingness to travel as required Strong problem solving and analytical skills including an elevated level of attention to detail Exceptional communication, consultation and negotiation skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle conflicting priorities Willingness to complete CAT 2 Medical and Psychometric testing as required What we can offer you: At Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees to reach their full potential.
