Permanent Full-Time at 76 hours per fortnight Radiation Therapist, Grade 1 (AE4- AF9) Multiple Grade 1 Radiation Therapist Positions Short Term Contracts and Permanent Positions on Offer Location : Gippsland Radiation Oncology (GRO) - Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) Offering a generous Sign‑on Bonus of $12,000* Great Staff Benefits DEPARTMENT Alfred Health Radiation Oncology (AHRO) is a unit of a comprehensive cancer service, with sites located at The Alfred - Melbourne (ARO) and Gippsland Radiation Oncology (GRO) at Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) - Traralgon. The service provides the full range of general radiation oncology and radiation therapy services in addition to some specialised services with both state and national significance. LOCATION SUMMARY The Latrobe Regional Hospital is located in the only regional city in eastern Victoria. Latrobe City consists of many small townships and the main towns of Moe, Morwell and Traralgon. The area is famous for having one of the largest brown coal reserves in the world, and being the epicentre of Victoria’s electricity industry. But it’s also recognised for its large forestry industry, servicing Australia’s biggest pulp and paper mill. Food processing, engineering, education, retail and aviation also figure prominently. Gippsland Radiation Oncology is situated at the Latrobe Regional Health site in Traralgon, Latrobe Valley. POSITION SUMMARY Grade 1 Radiation Therapist positions are on offer at Gippsland Radiation Oncology (GRO). The positions are responsible for performing routine radiation treatment planning and treatment delivery. Salary commensurate with experience within the Grade 1 level. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED General skills and knowledge base in radiation therapy practice commensurate with entry‑level qualifications at degree or master's level. Ability to manage allocated workload efficiently and effectively and within acceptable timeframes, at times with some senior assistance for more complex planning, treatment or problem‑solving situations relative to experience. Awareness of quality and safety issues. Engagement with continuing professional development. Interpersonal and communication skills.
