The opportunity We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent electrical skills to repair and maintain plant and equipment. The successful applicant will be required to utilise a range of trade skills to provide a customer focused service. Reporting to the Service Manager with the workshop located in Landsdale, the primary tasks of this role are: Electrical repair and maintenance of diesel engines and electric power generation equipment predominately onsite and from time to time in the workshop Onsite commissioning and electrical installation of diesel engines and electric power generation equipment Fitment of sales equipment accessories Fault finding and diagnostics Provide technical support on all products internally and externally What you must have Current Electrical Licence Technical and industry knowledge Experience with diesel engines and electric power generation equipment Ability to troubleshoot low and high voltage electrical faults and generator control system faults An understanding of workshop manuals Ability to follow written procedures Experience with Microsoft computer packages Holding a current driver’s licence Holding, or the ability to hold, a forklift licence Ability to travel, work overtime and irregular hours What we can offer you A competitive hourly rate + overtime + super Development of knowledge and skills in a niche industry – you will work on gensets, lighting towers and engines A fantastic team environment – we support each other and we are committed to the business succeeding What makes Allight different We are a progressive company with a supportive team.
