This roster is 8/6/7/7 (days/nights) with a 12-hour shift. About the role Reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor, the Underground Electrical Technician plays a vital role in maintaining and improving the electrical systems that support Ernest Henry’s underground operations. You will ensure all electrical work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site and regulatory standards, contributing directly to asset reliability and production performance. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations on underground fixed plant, materials handling, and auxiliary systems Ensuring all work meets the requirements of the Mines Regulations, Australian Standards, and Evolution Mining policies Conducting inspections, testing, and maintaining detailed work order records for audit and compliance purposes Supporting asset management activities, including CMMS data accuracy, BOM updates, and drawing revisions Leading by example in safety and work standards, mentoring apprentices and supporting contractors Identifying improvement opportunities and sharing technical insights to enhance asset reliability and performance About you The ideal candidate is a qualified Electrical Mechanic or Fitter Mechanic who takes pride in safely delivering, high-quality electrical work. You should have previous experience in industrial or mining environments and bring strong technical skills across underground systems including fixed plant, HV networks, and auxiliary equipment. You are highly competent in fault-finding, testing and maintenance, and understand the importance of clear documentation and compliance. You must work well in a team and enjoy collaborating with peers and leaders to solve problems, improve processes, and maintain high operational standards. You hold or are willing to complete S1, S2, S3 Supervisor training, and are proactive about developing your technical knowledge.
