About Western Plains Correctional Centre Western Plains Correctional Centre (Western Plains) is Victoria’s new, state‑of‑the‑art maximum‑security correctional facility. Position Corrections Victoria is seeking full‑time prison officers to start their career at Western Plains. Sign‑On Bonus New prison officers are now eligible for a bonus of up to $8,000. Six months after commencing, you will receive a payment of $4,000; then, after one year’s full‑time employment, you will receive an additional payment of $4,000. *Conditions apply. What’s in it for you Earn up to $91,202 with a base salary of $63,469 plus penalty rates and overtime. Annual salary increases, 5 weeks annual leave, 3 weeks personal leave and provisions for study leave. 41 days comprehensive paid training (full time). Complete a Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Adult Custodial). Relocation assistance of up to $10,000 if you’re moving from more than 100km away.
