About the opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Assets Accountant to join our Finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. Working within a high-performing Finance team, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset accounting, capital project reporting, asset lifecycle management and fixed asset compliance, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A demonstrated ability to analyse and clearly communicate key financial and non-financial data to a range of stakeholders is vital to this role. The role requires a proactive self-starter who can support the Coordinator Financial Accounting with asset reconciliations, annual asset revaluations, preparing audit documentation and continuous improvement of asset management processes. Qualifications and experience Degree qualifications in Accounting or a related discipline In-depth experience in asset accounting or a related field Current class C driver's licence. Experience in Asset Management accounting within local government Experience in asset lifecycle management in local government or large organisation. Remuneration and benefits The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement. Entry level for this position starts at $2,338.60 per week Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
