Job Title Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) Day Procedure Unit ) – Department of Health, Tasmania The Team Launceston General Hospital is Tasmania’s northern hospital, and the Surgical and Perioperative Services (SAPS) provides high level broad surgical services to the North and North-West community. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community. SAPS is a fast‑paced area with a strong interdisciplinary team focused on best patient care and outcomes. DPU NUM is a dynamic role that supports endoscopy, cardiology, mental health services, radiology services and many other inpatient services at Launceston General Hospital. The role of Nurse Unit Manager in the Day Procedure Unit works in close collaboration with the leadership team across the Department of Surgery to support exemplary evidence‑based and patient‑centred care. The Role Provides leadership to the Day Procedure Unit, Launceston General Hospital. Ensures the efficient and effective provision of care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework by coordinating the clinical, management, education and nursing research functions within the Day Procedure Unit. Leads and manages the coordination of overall patient care and is responsible for managing the allocated human, material and financial resources for service delivery within the Day Procedure Unit at the Launceston General Hospital. Details of Appointment Permanent part‑time, day worker position, working 12 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as would like to join our team. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full‑time, part‑time, and casual vacancies. Salary $130,203 to $136,295 per annum (pro‑rate). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
