We are looking for enthusiastic Cooks/Chefs to join our friendly team. About Us: Christian Youth Camps Ltd (CYC), a mission of the Christian Community Churches of Victoria & Tasmania, is a Christian Not for Profit organisation, committed to the Christian Faith. CYC Forest Edge, set on 120 acres, surrounded by lush fern gullies, quiet rivers, majestic forests and mountains is one of Victoria’s favourite group accommodation facilities for schools, churches and community groups. About the Job: Both full-time and part-time positions available on a 7 day rotating roster. Shifts generally range between 7am - 3pm or 11am - 7:30pm Immediate start Award wages Working With Children Check is required Key Tasks: Prepare and cook meals as per the pre-arranged menu Communicate with guests regarding the needs of their groups including dietary needs Monitor food quality and presentation Ensure food service areas are clean and organized. Assist in the development and creation of new menu items. Adhere to the food safety program and kitchen cleaning/maintenance programs Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring a high level of customer service and professionalism. About You: Knowledge of food safety requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skills Highly customer service focussed You love working in a team environment Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
