Livewire Volunteer Queensland Children's Hospital, Brisbane Starlight Children's Foundation – Brisbane QLD Starlight's mission is to brighten the lives of seriously ill children, young people and their families. Hospital shifts vary, and you'll bring your creative skills, positivity and warmth to each one as you engage and connect with teens. Responsibilities Monday shift : 2–3 hours between 1pm and 5pm. Tasks include admin support (planning and organizing crafts and activities, preparing for workshop sessions) and face‑to‑face work with teens on the hospital wards. Wednesday shift : 2–3 hours between 1pm and 5pm. Tasks include supporting our weekly workshop for teens in hospital. Additional Requirements You must be aged 21 or older to apply. Successful applicants will need to comply with our vaccination policy. We especially love to hear from candidates who have worked or volunteered with adolescents. Job Details Category : Young People Commitment : Regular – more than 6 months Type of Work : Administration & Office Management, Arts, Craft & Photography, Companionship & Social Support, Music & Entertainment Time Required : 2–3 hours of volunteering, weekly or fortnightly, for at least 12 months We are looking for one weekly volunteer, or two fortnightly volunteers to support on: Monday afternoons (a 2–3 hour shift between 1pm and 5pm) Wednesday afternoons (a 2–3 hour shift between 1pm and 5pm) Training Successful applicants receive complete on-boarding, training and support.
