Tec-NQ is seeking a creative and engaging Teacher to develop, deliver and assess ACARA and QCAA endorsed subjects contextualised to create employability and success for all learners. The suitably qualified applicant will join the academic team on a permanent basis as a Year 10, 11 and 12 Teacher teaching across the Year 10, 11 and 12 subject areas of English, Maths, Science. Graduates are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Tec-NQ’s Trade Education Teams to understand the application of subject area content within the workplace and use that understanding to teach students how the skills are applied in the workplace. Tec-NQ maintains high standards of compliance as both an independent senior secondary school and registered training organisation (RTO). The senior school is based in Townsville, but its provision of boarding attracts students from across rural, remote and isolated areas of Queensland. Tec-NQ’s RTO delivers nationally accredited training in Townsville, Mackay and Cairns. Vocational training is provided across broad industry areas including Construction, Electro-technology, Engineering and Automotive. Selection Criteria Bachelor of Education qualification or equivalent. Experience in the development, delivery and assessment of year 10, 11 and 12 compulsory subject areas with the ability to adopt a multi-disciplinary approach to teaching and learning. Ability to use information technology in various formats and combinations to enrich and extend the learning opportunities of the students. Current Queensland Registered Teacher registration. Current C-Class Australian Drivers Licence. Knowledge of the trade environment.
