Team The Endoscopy Unit is a specialised component of the Short Stay Suite, within the broader Perioperative Precinct. A fast‑paced, high‑turnover unit that offers learning opportunities across diverse endoscopy nursing skill sets. You will strengthen health outcomes through safe, quality nursing care in partnership with patients, their families and other health professionals. Role Take a lead role improving care delivery in the Endoscopy Unit, using best practice to support learning, research and high‑quality outcomes. Responsibilities Provide advanced clinical leadership, direction and change management to facilitate the progression of strategic objectives for the Endoscopy Unit through the development and implementation of associated standards of practice, models of care, relevant service policies, procedures and guidelines. Provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership in patient safety and quality initiatives within the Endoscopy Unit and offer specialist advice, information and consultation to staff to meet statutory, policy and regulatory requirements related to safety and quality including the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. Qualifications Extensive experience with a demonstrated advanced level of clinical expertise in endoscopy nursing. Demonstrated ability to provide contemporary leadership that facilitates the ongoing development of clinical practice, together with the ability to initiate, guide and motivate a multidisciplinary team in the development, implementation and evaluation of innovation and change development, quality improvement and clinical risk management activities to address emerging service needs in relation to Safety and Quality. Demonstrated ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice through planning, quality improvement and research. Salary and Benefits Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023, $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type may be available. Salary packaging includes living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year plus other benefits if eligible. Professional development and accelerated pathways. Eligibility Successful applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse. Relevant postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
