Join to apply for the Trading Manager Retail & Assets (Power) role at Shell What's The Role The Trading and Supply team trades crude oil, natural gas, LNG, electricity, refined products, chemical feedstocks and environmental products, and contributes to building a successful portfolio that looks to generate value through a combination of customer flow, supply arrangements, product development, speculative trading and risk management. What You'll Be Doing Lead a team of analysts (3) to ensure best practice approach to developing, managing and utilizing analytic tools and resources. Lead a team of traders (2) that actively manages a significant financial derivatives portfolio in the Australian Power and Renewables markets. Work closely with the Retail Middle Office Manager to recommend trading strategies aimed at managing Shell's retail power exposures in the NEM and WEM. Maintain a thorough understanding of portfolio positions. Work with the origination team on new products and structures to deliver value across tenors. Ensure all trading activities comply with regulatory standards, internal policies, and market rules. What You Bring Extensive experience in energy trading, specifically within the National Electricity Markets. Track record of managing large actively managed asset backed financial markets portfolios servicing a retail business. Track record of achieving strong financial performance in a Trading business. Leadership and mentorship abilities. Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex trading structures. Excellent risk management and reporting capabilities. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective trading strategies. Discipline, a passion for results and a curious mind. Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
