VCE Physics Tutor – Assistant Tutor We’re looking for driven and committed VCE Physics tutors to join our tutoring team at Contour Education. Take the lead in helping students learn, build strong relationships, and make an impact. Role overview – As an Assistant Tutor, you will support student learning by acting as a secondary tutor during classes (most classes have two tutors), help address student questions and clarify concepts while the primary tutor teaches. You will also conduct 1-on-1 video consultations outside of class hours, provide ongoing text-based support, and proofread and review learning materials to ensure quality and accuracy. All additional student support outside scheduled class hours is free for students, with full compensation for your time and effort. Roles are available across Victorian campuses: Point Cook, Narre Warren, Glen Waverley, Box Hill, and Melbourne CBD. The role also offers a hybrid work-from-home component for proofreading, consultations, and text-based support. Who Are We We empower students by providing tutoring, resources and support. Competitive Compensation Assistant Tutors earn a competitive hourly rate with pathways for progression into primary tutor roles and senior positions. For secondary tutoring, 1-on-1 consults, proofreading, and text-based support, the rate is $30 per hour (plus super). Academic Requirements 40+ raw study score in VCE Physics; first-year university knowledge in Maths/Physics/Engineering or higher; tutoring experience in VCE Physics; academic awards in Physics. Note: these are favourable but not hard requirements. Other Requirements Full academic-year commitment; sign an NDA; agree to a non-compete clause; ability to commit to weekly classes; willingness to travel to Narre Warren or Point Cook campuses; genuine desire to motivate students; past VCE graduate status is preferred.
