About the Podiatry and High‑Risk Foot Service The Podiatry and High‑Risk Foot Service operates across all sites and campuses of Austin Health including the Austin Hospital, Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre. We provide services within specialist outpatient clinics and admitted inpatient streams, both at home and in hospital. The service implements and delivers high quality evidence‑based assessment and intervention for acute and chronic foot conditions. We partner with our clients to deliver best practice care in the community or hospital setting, aiming to reduce or prevent clinical deterioration, complications and time in hospital. We collaborate broadly with teams across our health network to ensure integrated, patient‑centered care is well coordinated. The large multi‑disciplinary team works in a collaborative model including Endocrinology, Infectious diseases, Vascular Surgery, Orthotics, Dietetics and Diabetes Education. Our Podiatry team consists of a Podiatry Manager, High Risk foot service clinical coordinator, senior podiatry staff and administration ensuring the successful candidate is well supported. About the role As the Podiatrist (Grade 2), you will work within a range of settings across Austin Health providing safe and effective evidence‑based clinical care to patients, their families and carers. A regular day will see you: Delivering best practice assessment and intervention for complex high risk foot clients across busy inpatient and outpatient streams. Collaborating with teams across our health network and the community to ensure effective, coordinated care is delivered. Participating in supervision, innovation, research and professional development.
