The Role We seek motivated applicants with a passion for teaching English as well as some Humanities and Social Sciences at the secondary level. You will have a solid understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum in both areas. You should possess the professional knowledge, understandings, and experience to develop and implement an engaging and relevant Teaching and Learning program. Professional Benefits Country Teaching Program Allowance of $5 000 per year District allowance of $1 239 per year 12 percent employer contributions to superannuation 12 weeks’ vacation leave (school holidays) More than 20 days of other leave, including sick leave and carers’ leave Subsidised accommodation where applicable Free relocation Teachers and school administrators employed at Champion Bay Senior High School in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment. The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school. Mobility Appointments for Permanent Metropolitan and South West Teachers Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3‑year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3‑year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
