Become a part of a national clinical trials & research network within Ramsay Health Care Be a part of a dynamic team working to change outcomes in care through the delivery of clinical trials Work within a health care environment to implement research outcomes and improve patient care Ramsay Health Care is seeking a full time clinical trials & research manager who will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of clinical trial & research activities and other clinical research projects at Westmead Private Hospital The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the development of the clinical trials & research activities at the site and will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities related to sponsored and investigator driven research at the this role you will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to the development of a leading clinical trials unit at Westmead and the broader Ramsay Research Network. Key Responsibilities The establishment of the clinical trials unit at the site with a key focus on developing relationships and supporting the needs of the core group of Principal Investigators. Implementation of clinical trial protocols at the site including the recruitment of patients coordinating patient visits and data collection in accordance with clinical trials protocols and following up patients as needed. Assist with the start-up processes for clinical trials ensuring that the site is able to be activated as quickly as possible. Participate in the National Research Network attending national meetings and working collaboratively within the network to develop clinical trials within Ramsay Health Care. Develop implement and maintain systems to support the operational activities of the clinical trials unit as required by the site and the national team. The role will report to the Hospital Executive and will work closely with a number of key stakeholders including Principal Investigators the Head of Research for Ramsay Health Care the National Clinical Trials Network the National Clinical Trials Network and other members of the ICHOM project. Key Elements Project Management Teamwork / Collaborative Working Negotiation Communication Change Management Required Skills and Experience Experience in a clinical research or clinical trials with prior exposure to the recruitment of patients and the collection and management of clinical trial data. Experience working with busy clinicians and an understanding of how to effectively manage and work within a fast paced dynamic environment. Proven ability to establish relationships influence and work in partnership with stakeholders and employees at all levels. Demonstrated high level oral and written skills. Demonstrated high level conceptual and analytical skills and the capacity to show initiative to develop solutions and ensure that each research project is successful. Demonstrated ability to plan and pursue challenging goals whilst successfully managing competing priorities. High level knowledge of relevant codes and legislation related to human research ethics and research governance within Australia.
