Teach Speak Hear (TSH) is a Western Australian not-for-profit organisation, registered charity, independent school and NDIS provider that has helped children with speech, language and hearing difficulties lead fulfilling lives since 1966. TSH (formerly Telethon Speech & Hearing) provides integrated services for children with hearing loss and/or speech and language difficulties from newborns to teens. A team of education professionals work collaboratively alongside allied health professionals to empower children to hear, communicate, connect and learn. About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced and values focused manager to provide strategic leadership, operational direction and continuous improvement of TSH’s HR and WHS practices. Reporting to the CEO, this standalone HR role (with some administrative support) is focused on the development, implementation and improvement of effective human resource processes throughout the organisation, as they align with the organisation’s values, strategy and context. This collaborative role will work in partnership with senior managers to identify the people implications of strategic and business plans as well as coach and support our managers to facilitate effective, consistent and empowering people management and practices. This role also oversees compliance against all regulatory and legislative requirements with a focus on workplace health and safety, human resources, NDIS, child safety and school registration, with support from a Compliance Officer. About You You will be a highly organised and engaging professional with relevant qualifications combined with extensive experience in senior generalist HR role, ideally in NFP, community services, education or health. The success candidate will be able to demonstrate: Strong generalist HR capability across the employee lifecycle: workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance, employee and industrial relations, WHS, change management and workforce analytics. Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to build professional rapport quickly at all staff levels. A pragmatic, proactive, and integrative approach to problem solving. Well-developed coaching skills to support current and next generation of organisational leaders. A high level conceptual, analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Experience aligning workforce planning and people initiatives with organisational strategy and financial sustainability. A track record in designing and implementing organisational development initiatives and culture strategies: values embedding, leadership development, engagement/experience initiatives, diversity and inclusion, and wellbeing in mission‑driven organisations. Skills in policy development, implementation and review, including child‑safe, school and NDIS‑relevant workforce policies.
