Academic Level B - $116,172 p.a. plus up to 17% superannuation Ranked number one university in Australia for First Generation Student Enrolments (Good Universities Guide 2022) and with top rankings in Victoria around student support, social equity, skills and employment, we are driven to make difference to every student and the community providing lifelong learning, skills, and research locally, regionally, and globally.With University and TAFE campuses in Ballarat, Berwick, Gippsland, and the Wimmera we are positioned to provide pathways from vocational education and skills training through to higher education.About the roleAs an integral member of our team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of Initial Teacher Education units at undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to the institutes research program and administrative functions.You will: undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students; develop, teach and moderate units in Secondary Teacher Education at undergraduate and graduate levels; undertake research or scholarship of learning and teaching activities; and contribute to the administrative functions of the Institute. About youYou will work as part of the Institute's team of academic and administrative staff. You will possess proven educational, research and professional experience and seek to embed long and short-term research strategies for the Institute within the strategic framework of the University and in accordance with its mission. You will be a creative thinker and avid problem-solver, who possesses initiative, innovation, and a can-do attitude.At level A you will possess: lecturing and tutoring experience in the area of Education; a capacity to teach units in: English, Humanities/History, Business Studies, STEM Education, Learning, Teaching and Assessment, and Professional Experience; evidence of an ability to work collegially; and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills. At level B you will possess: commitment to scholarship and a potential for academic advancement; demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching; previous experience in academic administration, including the administration of units; and A capacity to contribute to the supervision of honours and graduate students.
