Lucas Group is searching for a Packhouse Operations Manager for Newton Orchard's , a proud family business with 95 years of success growing, packing, and marketing premium apples, cherries, and avocados in WA’s beautiful Southern Forests. About the Role This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll oversee apple and avocado packhouse operations and produce programs, covering everything from harvest, packing, and logistics through to marketing, grower partnerships, and customer delivery. You’ll work within a supportive executive team and lead a fantastic packhouse crew who care about quality, innovation, and community. What You’ll Do Manage daily packhouse operations for quality and efficiency Lead apple and avocado programs from harvest through to dispatch Manage grower partnerships, contracts, and quality assurance processes Build and maintain strong retail, fresh‑market wholesale, and export relationships Ensure compliance with food safety and accreditation standards (Freshcare, HARPS, SQF, SafeAg, ICA) Support marketing activities and branded programs such as Jazz™ and Kanzi® apples Contribute to business planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement About You Proven experience in packhouse operations, and production Experience with fresh produce supply‑chain management Strong leadership and people‑management skills Financial, analytical, and strategic planning capability Understanding of export, compliance, and QA systems Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills What’s on Offer Competitive salary + car or car allowance + fuel allowance Phone and laptop provided Negotiable bonus structure Relocation assistance & help finding accommodation Flexible, family‑first culture + genuine work‑life balance Opportunity to work from home one day per week or adapt hours around school commitments Long‑term career development within a respected, innovative agribusiness Apply Now or for a confidential discussion, call Geoff Lucas on 9***.
