Senior Piping Engineer

Evaluates, selects, and applies standard plant design and piping engineeringmethods, techniques, procedures and criteria for a small size project or assignment insupport of a global business unit or staff group to include the preparation of originaldesigns layouts, details, drawings and specifications.Develops and interprets design criteria and specifications for most complex plantdesign and piping infrastructure in a global business unit.Examines and analyses pipe configurations for ANSI/ASME code compliance.Optimizes facility layout based on piping and instrument diagrams, client requirements,current technology, and operational and maintenance requirements.Analyses problems with conflicting design requirements, sketches ideas and possiblesolutions.Other responsibilities as designated.Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of construction piping installation, hydrotesting and pneumatic pipe testing, with knowledge of Universal Plant Viewer preferred.Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs), including TEAMWorks, Fighter Tools, INFOWorks or Aconex, BPS or DSCS, PTR or Unifier, Agile, Navisworks, and other automation tools used on Bechtel projects.Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.We are a 2024 Circle Back Initiative Employer & commit to respond to every applicant.There are many reasons why choosing to join Bechtel is one of the best career decisions you will ever make.
