Overview The role of an Advisor - Quality in a Construction Consultancy is pivotal to ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards and adhere to quality control measures. This position typically requires a professional with a solid background in quality management, construction processes, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities Establish and enforce quality standards to ensure projects align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Conduct thorough inspections, audits, and assessments to identify potential areas for improvement and mitigate risks. Address quality issues proactively and implement corrective actions and preventive measures to uphold project integrity. Collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to implement and oversee quality assurance protocols from initiation to completion. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, quality management, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in quality management within the construction industry. Quality Management Skills: Strong expertise in quality management principles, methodologies, and ISO standards related to construction. Construction Knowledge: In‑depth understanding of construction processes, materials, techniques, building codes and regulations. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to identify and address quality issues at various stages. Communication Skills: Effective communication to convey quality expectations, provide feedback, and collaborate with stakeholders. Problem‑Solving: Strong problem‑solving skills to analyze quality‑related issues and implement corrective actions. Audit & Inspection: Experience in conducting quality audits, inspections, and assessments. Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams including engineers, architects, and project managers. Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards governing construction quality. Continuous Improvement: Commitment to promoting a culture of continuous improvement and staying updated on advancements in quality management.
