SAP ABAP AIF Developer - Immediate contract opportunity Direct message the job poster from DXC Technology Australia and New Zealand Manager - Talent Acquisition - Enterprise and Custom Applications Practices at DXC We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP AIF Developer to join our project delivery team on a fixed-term contract through to 31 December 2025 . The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining custom interfaces and integration frameworks using SAP Application Interface Framework (AIF) and ABAP within the ECC environment. This role requires strong technical expertise in ABAP development and AIF configuration, as well as a good understanding of integration patterns, performance optimisation, and error handling frameworks. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP solutions, enhancements, and interfaces in line with project requirements. Build and configure SAP AIF interfaces to enable effective communication between SAP and non-SAP systems. Support interface monitoring, error handling, and message reprocessing through AIF tools. Collaborate with functional and integration teams to ensure seamless data flow across systems. Conduct unit testing, performance tuning, and documentation of developed solutions. Participate in design reviews, code walkthroughs, and quality assurance processes. Provide production support and defect resolution related to AIF and ABAP developments. Contribute to continuous improvement and standardisation of ABAP development practices. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development . Strong experience in SAP AIF (Application Interface Framework) design and implementation. Proficiency in IDocs , Proxies , RFC/BAPI , ABAP OO , Enhancement Framework (BADI/BTE/User-Exit) . Experience with S/4HANA or ECC environments. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation skills. Excellent documentation and communication abilities. Able to work independently under minimal supervision in a remote or hybrid environment.
