Dermatology Institute of Victoria – South Yarra VIC The Clinical Research Nurse is an integral part of a multidisciplinary team comprising of a Clinical Trial Co-ordinator & Dermatologists. A highly sort after position is available at our busy and expanding Dermatology practice in South Yarra. Our practitioners are leaders in the medical and cosmetic dermatology fields. We conduct trials for International and Australian pharmaceutical companies using healthy volunteers in Phase I – IV Clinical Trials for a range of medical or cosmetic treatments. The position requires a Division 1 or 2Registered Nurse on a full time basis. We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and positive individual who thrives in a team environment to join our expanding team. You must be able to multitask, be empathetic and have effective communication whilst delivering a high standard of clinical and research support to clinical research projects. Your role will be to: Recruitment & co-ordination of trial subjects from process of consent to end of study ensuring that only appropriate participants are screened/registered according to eligibility criteria Collect biospecimens from research participants as per protocol, prepare samples for storage/ shipping, and ensure adherence to proper handling procedures Conduct participant assessments, monitor safety and administer study treatments as per study protocol Manage Investigational Product Coordinate designated clinical research projects, ensuring compliance with Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and Sponsor requirements Provide Patient education and support Manage patient visits, preparing patients for procedures Pre & Post operative Photography and Nursing care Perform assessments such as Observations Some Administration tasks and clinical data entry. Accurate collection and entry of study data into both hard copy and electronic Case Report Forms. Monitor and provide updates on trial budgets, including invoicing for payments as required Assist in Practice nursing as needed To be considered for the role you must have: Ability to be available Monday - Friday inclusive Good knowledge of ICH-GCP Guidelines Professional presentation Willingness to participate in extra training and practice in accordance with ICH-GCP, Sponsor guidelines and organizational standard operating procedures. Good attention to detail skills and ability to adhere to documentation standards. Experience in clinical trial research and a familiarity with research guidelines and regulations is desirable This is a full time position (38 hours per week) that requires your flexibility from 7.30am - 6.00pm Mondays - Fridays. Our clinic hours are 8.00am - 5.00pm generally Mondays - Fridays. There is free onsite parking available as well as being close to public transport.
