Cleaner role at Department of Education, Western Australia We are seeking to establish a pool of Cleaners for permanent and fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. The Role Australind Senior High School (SHS) is looking to appoint energetic and motivated individuals to fill upcoming Cleaner roles and join their friendly team. Responsibilities Internal cleaning: maintain carpets and hard floor surfaces, clean furniture and fittings, windows, toilets and dusting. External duties: rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, external windows, verandas and covered areas, cobweb removal. Vacation cleaning: stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, carpet shampooing, pressure cleaning of undercover areas and verandas, and other duties as directed by the Cleaner‑In‑Charge. Eligibility Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start. Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
