Electrical Commissioning Manager Major Data Centre Project – Sydney Permanent Opportunity | Tier 1 Environment | Career-Defining Project $150,000 - $200,000 plus super and car allowance Unify Recruitment is partnering with a leading contractor delivering one of the largest and most complex Data Centre projects in Australia. This is a rare opportunity to join a Tier 1 team on a landmark development that is setting new benchmarks in scale, resilience, and critical infrastructure performance. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager to lead, coordinate and deliver all electrical commissioning activities across this multi-stage hyperscale Data Centre. The Role As the Electrical Commissioning Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution and sign-off of all electrical commissioning works. You’ll work closely with engineering, construction, vendors and client teams to ensure a fully compliant, operational, and performance‑tested facility. Key responsibilities include: Develop and manage the electrical commissioning program across multiple project phases Oversee testing, inspection, and verification of LV and HV systems Lead commissioning meetings, documentation, and stakeholder reporting Coordinate subcontractors, equipment vendors, and commissioning agents Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, project specs, QA/QC requirements and safety protocols Manage issue logs, rectification, and final handover to the client Drive best practice across processes, safety, and commissioning methodology About You We’re looking for someone with strong technical capability and proven commissioning leadership on major projects. You will have: Electrical trade or engineering background Previous experience commissioning complex projects (Data Centres, hospitals, infrastructure, or industrial facilities) Strong knowledge of HV/LV distribution, generators, UPS, power monitoring, control systems, etc. Ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage multiple commissioning workstreams Excellent communication skills and a proactive, organised approach Why This Opportunity?
