Weekend Cook with weekday Food Services Assistant shifts - minimum 35 hours per fortnight ABOUT THE POSITION Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service in a friendly and professional manner? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Glengara Retirement Village on a part time basis. We are seeking a Cook / Food Services Assistant to work predominantly on weekends, preparing meals for our 70+ residents and leading the kitchen team during those shifts. Additional weekday shifts are available in a Food Services Assistant capacity, supporting meal service and kitchen operations. Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for: Weekend cooking duties , including preparing meals for a large number of residents and leading the kitchen team Providing exceptional customer service by taking, preparing, and serving meal and drink orders Assisting in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with HACCP and food safety standards Completing daily shift cleaning tasks, including clearing tables, cleaning and storing dishes and cutlery Being flexible and willing to perform any duties as requested by the Village Manager We’re on the lookout for someone with: Demonstrated experience in cooking for large groups (70+ residents) Demonstrated experience in a similar role National Police Check (or ability to obtain) First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain) Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test The wellbeing of all RetireAustralia team members is our priority and we regularly run initiatives such as safety training, wellness challenges, mental health awareness programs and a free annual flu vaccination program.
