Machinery Supervisor

Sunripe is a local family-run business that has become the largest producer of field-grown snacking tomatoes in Australia. We have transformed a small snacking tomato farm into a quality-focused grower with multiple farms and a packing facility servicing chain stores and local and interstate markets with premium quality fruit and produce We are a large team of passionate people, and we are looking for a value-driven individual to join our team. About the Role As a Machinery supervisor, you will play a crucial role in our operations. Reporting to the directors and farm manager. Your responsibilities will include: Operate agriculture equipment and farm machinery. Ensure farm and equipment is maintained to a high standard. Ensure farm machinery, implements, and vehicles are maintained to ensure they are safe and to minimise downtimes from mechanical failures. Train tractor operators and field workers to complete their tasks safely and efficiently. Lead by example, providing leadership and guidance to workers. Supervise and prepare daily work routines and ensure the quality of daily production operations. Maintain accurate records of farm activities, such as equipment usage and labour hours. Assist with general farm work where required. Meet regularly with the management team to communicate requirements, concerns, produce levels, etc. Ensure Food safety, OHS, and Chemical safety is adhered to. Skills Ability to delegate to and lead staff. Conflict resolution and people management skills. Management and leadership skills Training, mentoring, and guidance skills and experience. Effective communication skills – verbal and written. Committed, efficient work ethic to adhere to strict deadlines. To be considered for this role, you will have: Relevant AQF Diploma or equivalent OR minimum 3 years of experience as a Machinery Supervisor. Proactive and self-motivated. Ability to demonstrate proper use of equipment. Ability to follow directions and work unsupervised. Basic understanding and knowledge of WHS and ability to apply knowledge. Contribute to developing safe work procedures, identify and report any hazards or incidents. Benefits Full-time position. A salary range between $65,000 to $70,000 per Annum plus superannuation.
