Fraser Coast Pharmacy Department are seeking highly skilled and motivated Senior Pharmacists to join our dynamic Pharmacy Department. You will be part of a dynamic and growing team committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. Your Opportunity: This role will work as a Senior Pharmacist member of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality pharmaceutical care and services to consumers within the Fraser Coast region. The Pharmacy Department delivers professional, client focussed pharmacy services and leadership within an evidence-based quality care environment. This role will also promote safe, effective and efficient use of medicines in keeping with the department's goals, objectives and mission statement of the WBHHS. As a member of the Pharmacy team, this role will be required to work at Maryborough and Hervey Bay Hospitals and may be required to attend the Maryborough Correctional Facility. The position is required to actively participate in the Pharmacy Department rotational roster system including 24-hour emergency clinical on-call, public holiday and weekend roster. What we're looking for: Clinical: Demonstrated high level of clinical knowledge and skill and ability to apply established principles to clinical care. Communication: Ability to work effectively and contribute positively in a health care team, through the use of high level communication and interpersonal skills to deliver quality pharmaceutical care. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision and education to less experienced clinicians, preregistration pharmacists and students, and provide guidance to support staff. Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities. Values: Demonstrates the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service values in clinical and profession practice through lived experiences. Preferred Qualifications: Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as a Pharmacist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties. Corrective Services Criminal History Checks: Persons engaged in the Offender Health Services Branch or providing health services in correctional facilities are relevant persons under the Corrective Services Act 2006. Division 2 of the Corrective Services Act requires all relevant persons to undergo a Corrective Services criminal history check to assess their suitability to undertake work in a QCS facility. Location: This position requires the incumbent to work at other facilities within the Fraser Coast region, including inside the Correctional service, and that the positions primary work location may change based on operational requirements. Roster and Rotations: Participation in the after-hours (including weekend) and on-call roster, and in the rotation of providing pharmaceutical services to various clinical areas across hospitals, is required.
