The second plank of DEVELOP's strategy centres on the provision of underground mining services. As part of this, DEVELOP has agreements to provide underground mining services to:
Bellevue Gold's (ASX: BGL), Bellevue Gold Project;Mineral Resources Limited's (ASX: MIN), Mt Marion Lithium Mine; andWestgold Resources (ASX: WGX), Beta Hunt Operation.The Opportunity: Surface Electrical Tradesperson DEVELOP currently have opportunities for experienced Surface Electrician Tradespersons to join our growing team at Woodlawn as we prepare for ramp up and production restart in early 2025.
Reporting to the Surface Electrical Supervisor, the Surface Electrical Tradesperson is responsible for ensuring daily maintenance and associated activities occur in a safe, structured, productive and cost-efficient manner. This includes the Process Plant, ROM, Water Treatment Plants, Laboratory, Concentrate Logistics, Tailings Dams (including Tailings Mining), Evaporation Dams, Paste Plant and Surface Infrastructure and Services.
Develops Woodlawn Copper-Zinc mine is located in the world-class Lachlan Fold belt in NSW, 250km south-west of Sydney.
Woodlawn is an advanced stage mine with the first two years of underground production already developed and a near new processing plant and related infrastructure in place.
Your main responsibilities as the Surface Electrical Tradesperson will include: Maintenance and installation of electrical distribution infrastructure;Maintain PLC's, instrumentation and general Process Control systems;Perform statutory electrical maintenance checks;Ensure inspections are carried out on all equipment before use;Read and understand electrical control schematics;Contribute to and use of SWPs, SWMS, SOPs JHA, Take 5, Hazard Identification and incident investigation for the electrical division;Ensure that all electrical work is carried out to a high standard and in an environmentally sound manner;Assess potential hazards and making the necessary changes to eliminate or control them;Ensure compliance to legislative requirements and site standards; andOther tasks within your skills capability as directed by immediate supervisor.The Requirements of the role: Recognised Trade qualification as Electrical Fitter/MechanicNSW Electrical Workers LicenceCurrent C Class Drivers LicenceKnowledge of NSW Electrical regulatory requirementsSound knowledge with Australian Standards AS3000; Wiring rules and other referenced and applicable standardsElectrical maintenance experience in a minerals processing plantDemonstrated fault-finding and diagnostic experienceAbility to interpret electrical drawingsDemonstrated application of safe working procedures and inspection techniquesUnderstanding of relevant sections of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & RegulationsMinimum 3 years relevant experience in the mining industryComputer literacy in Microsoft OfficeFlexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practicesHigh Voltage Operators License highly regardedWhat Develop can offer: Family friendly, 7:7 Roster12 hour shifts (day shift and night shift)Full Time positionThe ideal candidate will reside locally, however, we are willing to discuss DIDO optionsAttractive Remuneration Package including Employee Share SchemePaid Parental Leave and Salary Sacrificing benefits including Superannuation and Novated LeasingAn exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a project that will develop your electrical skills10-year mine life with plenty of opportunity for organic growthIf you would like to be a part of Develops mission, we would love to hear from you.
