Child Care Specialist – Team Leader, Enhanced Maternal and Child Health at Brimbank City Council $136,795.71 - $141,944.27 per annum + Superannuation Permanent – 38 hours per week Exciting opportunity to join one of Melbourne's largest municipalities. A key focus of the coming years will be working with the State and Federal Governments to establish Melbourne Airport Rail; to complete redevelopment of Sunshine and Albion Stations; and the realisation of the Sunshine Precinct Masterplan which will transform Sunshine into a CBD, vastly increasing local jobs, housing, businesses, services and tourism to provide for the many tens of thousands of people living, working and travelling through Brimbank. Every person working for Brimbank City Council shares our aspiration to make our City the best it can be We are currently seeking a Full Time Permanent staff member to join our Child and Family Health and Wellbeing unit based at our offices in Sunshine. The role Reporting to the Coordinator, Child and Family Health and Wellbeing, we are seeking a dynamic and forward‑thinking Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Team Leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, community focused environment to lead the delivery of high‑quality, responsive and impactful support for children and families in Brimbank who need extra support. In this role you will: Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health (EMCH) Program Provide effective leadership, supervision and support to a multidisciplinary EMCH team Provide professional guidance to EMCH team members and secondary consultation for Universal MCH staff related to vulnerable families Monitor and report on program performance in line with service agreements and funding targets Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with local Child and Family Service Providers to support integrated and responsive service delivery Facilitate effective feedback processes that capture community needs and perspectives and use this insight to guide service improvement and innovation Actively participate in Maternal and Child Health strategic service planning, continuous improvement and innovation opportunities and provide operational and strategic recommendations to the Coordinator, Child and Family Health and Wellbeing Represent Brimbank City Council and the Child and Family Health and Wellbeing unit at key stakeholder and sector forums and meetings Contribute to the development and review of key Council strategic documents, plans and policies To be considered you will have: Current Practicing Certificate from AHPRA, including registration as a Division 1 Nurse, midwife and hold an accredited postgraduate degree/diploma or equivalent in Maternal and Child health Nursing Demonstrated leadership and people management experience in a Maternal and Child Health service setting Sound knowledge and experience in the application of the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Program Guidelines and Child health Service Framework Proven track record in developing collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders Capacity to provide informed, clear and meaningful operational and strategic perspective in advocating for the needs of staff, families and the community Extensive clinical knowledge, experience and skills in Enhanced MCH nursing Benefits of working at Brimbank include: Rostered day off 16 days of personal leave per year (FTE) 20 weeks paid parental leave (FTE) 8 weeks partner leave Make a positive impact to your local community To view a full list of employee benefits, please view Council's Employee Value Proposition.
